GP Medical Appointments

A standard consultation is regarded as 30 minutes. Multiple or complex issues require a longer appointment. If you require a longer appointment, please discuss this with our receptionist.

Please have your Medicare card available to be sighted by our receptionist when booking in for your appointment time.

Fees and billing

Standard consult
$90 (Medicare rebate $41.40)

Long consult
$150 (Medicare rebate $79.70)

Women’s Health Checks
$150 (Medicare rebate $79.70)

Full Body Skin Checks
$175 (Medicare Rebate $118.00)

Cosmetic Consultation
$50 Deposit Fee is required to be paid at time of booking your appointment. (This is redeemable at time of treatment). The deposit can be paid by credit/debit card over the phone or in clinic.


Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a rapidly evolving situation and as this situation unfolds, please know that our priority is to care for all our patients and the local community. To support this, we have adopted the necessary precautions based on guidelines from the Australian Government and medical authorities and made important changes to how we manage our appointments, consultations and interaction with clients.

Our clinic has increased our already high level of infection control measures, screening patients prior to booking and entering the clinic. We are also offering Telehealth Appointments (phone consultation). To protect other patients, our doctors and staff, you must book a Telehealth Appointment if you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, shortness of breath, diarrhea or if you have travelled overseas in the last 14 days or been in close contact with someone who has, or had a Coronavirus case. Our Doctors will assess your situation and decide whether you can come into the clinic for a face-to-face consultation.

Results

The policy of our clinic is that we do not email or post results. All results must be discussed with your doctor in a face-to-face consultation.


Scripts, Referrals and Medical Certificates

All scripts, referrals and medical certificates require an appointment.

Please ensure your referral is up to date as it is illegal to update referrals.

Medical Certificates will not be issued for non-medical reasons apart from bereavement or family support. The patient must be seen at the time of illness to write a certificate. They cannot be back–dated as this is illegal.

Please discuss this with your doctor if you have any concerns.


Reminder/Recalls

With your permission, you may be included in our reminder system, which will offer you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to receive reminders, please advise your doctor or inform the reception staff.


Transfer of Records For medical PATIENTS

If you have previously attended another GP clinic, you can sign a written request to them to have your medical records transferred to us. If you would like to move to another clinic, we are happy to have your records transferred to your new nominated doctor. There may be a fee to prepare a summary. The necessary forms can be completed at the clinic. Please contact reception for further information.

Transfer of Records For cosmetic CLIENTS

If you require your cosmetic records, please note that all requests must come to us via email to brisbane@sonderprivateclinic.com. If you would like to request in person, the necessary forms can also be completed at the clinic. Please contact reception for further information


Privacy and Management Of Your Personal Health Information for both Medical and Cosmetic Patients.

Sonder Private Clinic and its employees are committed to your privacy and the confidentiality of your medical information. It is our policy to maintain the security of personal health information at all times. If you require further information about the privacy policy, please contact the clinic on 07 3164 9703 or ask at reception.


Cancellation Policy for Medical and Cosmetic patients

A fee will apply if you fail to cancel your appointment.

If you miss your appointment or do not give us at least 24 hours notice that you can't make it, then you will be charged a failure to attend fee.
