Skin Needling Brisbane

Skin needling is one of the most popular forms of skin regeneration therapies in the world. Bring your skin back to life with our bespoke Medical Grade Skin Needling in Brisbane, designed by our Doctors and Registered Nurses.

WHAT IS SKIN NEEDLING?

Skin needling is one of our most popular skin treatments. It is a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment that is also called Micro-Needling Therapy or Collagen Induction Therapy. There is no downtime, and your skin will instantly feel fresher, younger and healthier.

Skin Needling is suitable for the face as well as other body areas such as the neck, thighs, hands and décolletage. The main aim of skin needling is to stimulate the body’s natural reparative response and its production of collagen and elastin. This leaves your skin feeling tighter and smoother and drastically improves skin tone and skin texture.

Our Medical Grade Skin Needling involves the use of Dermalogica and Teoxane Products to give you the best results possible by deeply penetrating the product into the skin.

At Sonder Private Clinic, Skin Needling is used in combination with our other clinic treatments, including Anti-Wrinkle Injections, Chemical Peels, LED Light Therapy and more. We also combine Microneedling and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma). This is also known as the “vampire facial” or “collagen induction therapy”. The addition of PRP from the blood may make microneedling more effective.

HOW DOES A skin needling TREATMENT WORK?

Skin needling is one of the best ways to stimulate the synthesis and production of collagen. Collagen is essential for strong, smooth and healthy-looking skin.

This treatment involves using a skin needling device that uses multiple tiny, sterile needles to puncture the skin and cause physical trauma. This controlled injury to the skin triggers the body to produce new collagen and elastin in the papillary dermis in an effort to heal the small wounds from the needles. This stimulates collagen production and encourages the skin to regenerate and repair itself.

One of the main benefits of skin needling is its ability to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin, which is the key to new, youthful-looking skin.

The procedure usually takes 30-60 minutes, depending on how big the area is that is being treated. Results are seen immediately, and the procedure is well tolerated and well accepted by patients.

who is suitable for a skin needling treatment?

Skin needling is suitable for all skin types and tones. It is suitable for men and women who are in good health and looking for a treatment for skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing. It is a good idea to start this type of treatment in your 20's or 30's.

The only contraindications are for those who currently have acne, infections, or wound healing issues. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not suitable for this treatment.

  • Microdermabrasion exfoliates the skin, whilst Skin needling involves puncturing the skin with fine needles, so it goes deeper within the skin. Skin needling is designed to treat skin concerns at a deeper level and stimulate the growth of new skin, whilst Microdermabrasion is a gentle exfoliation treatment that removes the skin’s topmost layer.

  • Yes your skin will peel after microneedling. This is completely normal and may start 2-5 days after the treatment. A new layer of skin will be produced and the old skin begins peeling off. You will experience minor redness for a few days after the treatment.

  • No, for the majority of people, it isn't considered painful, however some still experience some discomfort. A topical anaesthetic is applied prior to the procedure, so that discomfort is minimal.

  • Some clients notice immediate tightness and the collagen production will start around 48 hours after the treatment. The maximal effects mostly occur after after 3 months, when the collagen has fully formed.

  • After your professional skin analysis, an appropriate treatment plan will be designed by our doctors and nurses according to the skin conditions, which are to be treated.

The number of needling procedures depends on the individual skin condition, but it usually takes 4 to 6 sessions to see best results. A minimum of 4 to 6 weeks is recommended between treatments. Three to four treatments may be needed for moderate acne scars. In order to achieve optimal results, we add LED Light Therapy to our Sonder Skin Needling treatments.
